HOW TO CALCULATE CHAMFERING II GEOMETRICAL CO-ORDINATES IN CNC II CNC PROGRAMMING BASIC
First chamfer dimension =5 X 450
Second chamfer dimension = 6 X 300
Third chamfer dimension = 6 X 300
Fourh chamfer dimension = 6 X 550
Given : Ɵ1 = ?
, Ɵ2 = 40
, Ɵ3 = ?
, Ɵ4 = 60
, Ɵ5 = 78
Calculate formula :-
tan Ɵ = Opp side / Adj side
1)
for calculating opposite side of first chamfer
and diameter 1
tan 45 = Opp side / 5
:. Ɵ1 = 40 – 10 = 30
2)
for calculating opposite side of second
chamfer and diameter 3
tan 30 = opp side/ 6
Ɵ3 = 40 + 7 = 47
Geometrical co-ordinates :-
POSITION X- axis Z- axis
1 30 0
2 40 -5
3 40 -25
4 47 -31
5 53 -31
6 60 -37
7 60 -67
8 78 -73
POSITION 1 : - In position 1, tool at X= 30 but Z= O we can see in fig
POSITION 2 : - In position 2 ,tool at X= 40 and Z= -5 , means it make chamfering and when cutting
operation perform that time tool travel negative at Z- axis .
POSITION 3 :- In position 3, tool cutting constantly from position
2 to position 3 .
POSITION 4:- In position 4, X =47 and Z = -31 , means it
makes chamfering and we already calculate
it .
POSITION 5:- I n position 5, X =53 and Z at same distance -31 .
POSITION 6 :- In position6 , X = 78 and Z = -73 .
